The Irish Residence Permit (IRP) is your registration card in Ireland. For most Indian students and workers, booking the IRP appointment is one of the first admin tasks after arrival.

When to book

Book as soon as you have your local address and required documents ready. Slots fill quickly in September and January.

What to bring

After your appointment

You will receive your IRP card by post. Keep photocopies of everything you submitted — employers and banks may ask for them.
